Announcing a rebranding is never an easy task, especially during a pandemic. Over the past month we’ve been slowly integrating our new brand image across our platforms, a brand image which we had planned to launch with a blast before COVID-19 changed all of our lives. Times change though and we decided to take a more understated approach to our reveal, who cares about a rebranding during times like this? Unfortunately, it seems we downplayed our rebranding a little too much, whoops, our bad! So, if you’ve been wondering what is going on at ITSB HQ, wonder no longer. It’s time to talk about our brand-new look and why we think it’s time…..
It’s our 10th birthday!
We’re extremely proud to announce that ITSB recently turned 10 years old! Our aim was to celebrate with a big rebranding, we’d planned a large event, we had a glossy advertising campaign lined up and all of our branding collateral was waiting for its big debut, that was until COVID-19 happened. Our tenth birthday and our rebranding to celebrate came around the time we all went into lockdown, not exactly the worst thing in the world but it caused us to pump the breaks on our plans.
New times ahead
With COVID-19 shifting all of our lives both personally and professional, we felt it was in poor taste to launch our rebranding in the same way we had planned, who cares when the world is fighting to keep its head above water right? Originally, we had delayed the rebranding indefinitely but as lockdown continued, we noticed numerous organisations including our own clients, focusing on advancing their businesses in preparation for a post lockdown world. COVID-19 is a watershed moment in all of our lives after all, there will forever be a before and after, so why not mark the after with a fresh new look?
Values aside, ITSB has changed
This past year in general has been a monumental year for us. It’s been one full of ups and downs, but it’s shaped us into a tougher, more dynamic and skilled team, and although our values will always remain the same, ITSB today does not reflect our old branding. Up until now we’ve shied away from discussing our new look in favour of subtly updating the brand in the background, perhaps we underestimated people’s interest? however, now seems like a better time than any to officially announce and share the new chapter in our story…
Our New Logo
As we mentioned before, our new logo needed to represent ITSB in our new chapter. We wanted the design to reflect our confidence, our 10 years of experience, it needed to be cleaner and more modern whilst at the same time maintaining a taste of the brand identity we’ve had for the past decade. You’ll notice the staple blue is out in favour of a deep red, a colour that perfectly represents ITSB in our current form, secure and confident.
Our New Devices
With expertise in a wide range of services we wanted to make sure our offerings stood out. That’s why we’ve brought in a colour system for our main services, each now being associated with its own “device” or logo.
These new devices & colours will be represented on the services main page as well as it’s sub products, which reminds us….the website….
Our New Website (in the making)
You may have already noticed a few changes across our website this month. Not only has the styling of (most) pages been updated, we’ve also updated and restructured our blog, now called The ITSB Byte, we’ve added a dedicated Client Area, our service pages are growing and so much more. This is all in aid of the new journey we’re on here at ITSB and it’s so important, as it is for everyone, that our website reflects where we are now.
The ITSB Arcade
Though we wanted our new look to be confident and strong, we also wanted something fun! Our previous branding was too serious, life is too serious. ITSB Arcade reflects the social and culture side of ITSB, it encompasses all of our personalities and our love for the geekier side of tech, arcade gaming! It’s all about colour, strong graphics, joy and nostalgia (for those old enough) Expect to see more of the Arcade in the coming months!
Let’s face it, times are really hard. We’re all trying our best right now to protect our businesses, to protect our staff, to look after ourselves personally as well as our families, but though things seem gloomy the opportunity is there to enhance the operations we have in place. Some people are using this time to get fit or take up new hobbies, some organisations are improving their IT infrastructure and processes in general. This is exactly our focus during lockdown, we want to come out of this stronger and we couldn’t think of anything better than a rebranding to mark the next chapter in our journey.
